==Werkzeuge==
Tool kits are essential to repair skills (see p. B190). A separate kit is required for Electrician, Machinist, and each specialty of Armoury, Electronics Repair, and Mechanic. You don’t use an Armoury kit to repair a pistol – you use an Armoury (Small Arms) kit. The kit’s quality determines the equipment modifiers (p. B345) that apply when using the relevant skill. If the item being worked on has a different TL from the tool kit, apply Tech-Level Modifiers (p. B168) as well.

The exact components of a tool kit are deliberately left vague. It suffices to say that tool kits contain a variety of appropriate tools and spare parts. At higher TLs, they might include power tools. They don’t get cheaper, lighter, or more effective as TL increases. As gadgets get more complex, so do the tools needed to fix them! 

Note that Mechanic (Vehicle Type) and Armoury (Vehicular Armor) tool kits and workshops can only perform major repairs on vehicles up to 10 tons. Multiply tool cost and weight by (vehicle weight in tons)/10 for larger facilities. For instance, a Mechanic (Submarine) workshop with a 2,000-ton capacity has 200¥ cost and weight. See Repairs (p. B484) and Breakdowns (p. B485) for further details on repairs, maintenance, and spare-parts costs.

===Mini-Tool Kit (TL5-8)===
This is a belt-sized tool kit. At TL7-8, it may contain a few small batteries. It gives a -2 (quality) modifier for the specific skill and specialty for which it’s designed. A kit for Electrician, Machinist, or any Armoury or Mechanic specialty is $200, 4 lbs. Kits for Electronics Repair specialties are $400, 2 lbs. LC4.

===Portable Tool Kit (TL5-8)===
This is the standard tool kit – the type found in a toolbox behind a truck seat or under the kitchen sink. It counts as basic equipment for the specific skill and specialty for which it’s designed, and gives a -2 (quality) modifier for other specialties of the same skill. At the GM’s option, such kits may have a handful of small batteries at TL7-8. A kit for Electrician, Machinist, or any Armoury or Mechanic specialty is $600, 20 lbs. Kits for Electronics Repair specialties are $1,200, 10 lbs. LC4.

===Workshop (TL5-8)===
This is an elaborate set of tools that fills a room. It has everything necessary for repairs or fabrication (welder, mill, lathe, etc.), including a wide range of materials and spare parts that can be tooled to specific requirements. It gives a +2 (quality) bonus to skill. Each skill requires its own shop, but the wrong type of shop is better than nothing – the quality modifier ranges from -2 for reasonably close crafts to -5 for distant ones. A workshop for Electrician, Machinist, or any Armoury or Mechanic specialty is $15,000, 2,000 lbs. Workshops for Electronics Repair specialties are $30,000, 500 lbs. All require external power. LC4.

** 100-yard beam. HT52, TL8. Can be used as a baton in combat. A tactical light is bright enough to momentarily stun the opposition in potential surprise situations (p. B393). As well, those who look directly into the light must make a HT-4 roll or be temporarily blinded. Blindness lasts for 10 seconds times the margin of failure.
** $200, 0.5 lb., 4xXS/2 hrs.

* First Aid Kit
** This kit gives +1 (quality) to First Aid. It can treat three major wounds or a couple of smaller ones. Contains a several bandages, two autoinjector with a dose of morphine (HT226), foot powder (HT221), insect repellant (HT221), salt tablets (HT221), ammonia inhalants (HT226), analgesics (HT226), antibiotic ointment (see Antibiotics, HT226), antimalarial pills (HT226), and water purification tablets (HT59).

* Smartphone
** A Samsung S6, an Apple iPhone 6 or something similar. TL8, has a Compass (+1 to Nav.), GPS Receiver (+3 to Nav.), Tiny Computer, Digital Camera, Map, Watch, and several applications.

* Small Radio (Encrypted, GPS) with a Tactical Headset (Cutting Edge)
** A military handheld radio. 5-mile range. It is encrypted and has a built in GPS System and a throat-microphone. The throat-microphone actives itself only when whispering in order not to transmit battle noises.
** $1150, 1.2 lb., 3xXS/10 hrs. LC4.

* Pen Flare
** A disposable, pen-sized launcher, often found on the sleeve of military flight suits. Shoots a colored signal flare to 70 yards.

* Z-Test
** ''Five'' one-use kit for testing blood (just a few drops). Requires no special skill - a color change means you’re infected.
** $5, 0.1 lb.

* Military-Grade Binoculars (Rugged)
** TL7. From the 1960s, binoculars such as these are often ruggedized. 10x magnification.

* Go-Bar

* Water Pack
** TL8, HT53. A 2-liter flexible bladder worn on the back, with a drinking tube that extends over the shoulder. The hose is bite-activated, so that the user can sip from it. Most backpacks can accommodate a water pack.

*Very Fine: -2 to odds of breakage and +2 to damage. Fencing weapons and swords only: +19 CF. 

*Titanium: 0.75 * weight and Very Fine for breaking purposes. + 1 CF

*Ornate: Jewels, gold, etc. Modifies reactions from buyers, gullible hirelings, etc. All weapons except improvised weapons, projectiles, and sticks: +1 to reactions for +1 CF, +2 for +4 CF, and +3 for +9 CF.

Fine and very fine are mutually exclusive.

===Firearms===
*Disguised: The weapon resembles any innocent item that could conceal it; e.g., a knife built into a belt buckle. Finding the hidden weapon requires a Search roll. Any weapon: +4 CF.

*Fine: Gives any firearm with base Acc 2 or better another +1 Acc. Guns: +1 CF.

*Styled: Pearl grips, gold plating, etc. Gives a reaction or Influence roll bonus in scenes where it’s the center of attention. Any weapon: +1 bonus for +1 CF, +2 for +4 CF, and +3 for +9 CF.

*Very Fine: Gives any firearm with base Acc 4 or better another +2 Acc. Guns: +4 CF.

Fine and very fine are mutually exclusive.

====Ammunition====

====Glock 18====

Die vollautomatische Glock 18 der österreichischen Firma Glock ist eine Weiterentwicklung der Glock 17, einer Standardwaffe des FBI und anderer Polizeibehörden. Die Glock 18 kann als Reihenfeuerpistole bei einmaligem Durchziehen des Abzugs den gesamten Inhalt ihres Magazins verschießen.

Die Variante Glock 18C ist mit einem integrierten Kompensator versehen, der die Waffe speziell bei schnellen Schussfolgen leichter kontrollierbar macht und ein besseres Trefferbild ermöglicht. Der Kompensator besteht aus zwei länglichen Öffnungen im Lauf und Verschlussstück der Pistole, die in "V"-Position angeordnet sind. Dies minimiert auch die Kornschwärzung durch Pulvergase. Durch einen Hebel am linken Ende des Schlittens kann zwischen Einzel- und Dauerfeuer umgeschaltet werden.

====Karabiner 31====

Der Karabiner Modell 1931 (auch bekannt als K31) ist ein Repetiergewehr mit Geradezugverschluss. Das abnehmbare Kastenmagazin fasst sechs Patronen, es kann unter Verwendung eines Ladestreifens oder mit einzelnen Patronen geladen werden. Der K31 war die persönliche Waffe des Soldaten der Schweizer Armee von 1933 bis 1958. Die Waffe basierte auf dem vom Hauptmann Furrer weiterentwickelten System Schmidt-Rubin und wurde in der Eidgenössischen Waffenfabrik Bern hergestellt. Die ersten 200 Gewehre wurden 1931 für Versuche an die Truppe abgegeben, deshalb der Name Karabiner 31. Der K31 wurde ab 1958 durch das Sturmgewehr 57 abgelöst. Bis zum militärischen Produktionsende 1958 wurden 582.230 Stück des K31 produziert. Nach 1970 wurden die letzten Waffen ausser Dienst gestellt, was der regen Verwendung im Schiesssport aber keinen Abbruch tat.

Das Stgw 57 ist ein Rückstosslader mit verzögertem, zweiteiligen Masseverschluss, ähnlich dem G3 von Heckler & Koch. Beim Schuss verzögern zwei einklappbare Rollen bis zum weitgehenden Druckabbau im Lauf den Rücklauf des Verschlusskopfs und damit das Ausziehen der Patronenhülse. Um Hülsenreisser zu vermeiden, sind im Patronenlager Entlastungsrillen eingefräst. Der Schiessbecher und die Mündungsbremse sind fester Teil des Laufes. Das Gewehr kann wahlweise Einzel- oder Dauerfeuer schiessen.

Hersteller ist die SIG (Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft), der Konstrukteur hiess Rudolf Amsler. Das Stgw 57 ist schwerer als andere Sturmgewehre, aufwendiger hergestellt (mit Zweibein, Tragegriff, Laufmantel) und damit teurer. Es gilt aber als sehr zielgenau und auch im Feuerstoss noch beherrschbar, weshalb es als eines der präzisesten Sturmgewehre der Welt gilt. Insgesamt wurden annähernd 1 Million dieser Waffen hergestellt, wovon 740.000 an die Schweizer Armee geliefert wurden.

Im Gegensatz zu den meisten Sturmgewehren arbeitet das SG 550 nicht mit einem Direkt-, sondern mit einem Druckpunktabzug, welcher das Präzisionschiessen begünstigt. Durch die geringen Fertigungstoleranzen, den geschmiedeten, kaltgehämmerten und gehärteten Lauf sowie die Gw-Pat-90-Munition zählt das SG 550 zu den präzisesten Sturmgewehren weltweit. Der schwere Lauf ist auch für das für ein Sturmgewehr relativ hohe Gewicht verantwortlich. Um überhaupt einen schweren Lauf einbauen zu können, wurde bei vielen Teilen Kunststoff verwendet, um das Gewicht wieder zu reduzieren. In der unterirdischen 300-m-Schiessanlage des Herstellers im schweizerischen Neuhausen am Rheinfall werden alle Gewehre, die das Werk verlassen, auf ihre Präzision getestet. Die Streukreise mit normaler Schweizer Armeemunition (Gw Pat 90) dürfen dabei in einer 10er-Serie einen Durchmesser von 11 cm nicht überschreiten, ansonsten muss das Gewehr nachbearbeitet werden. Entsprechend vermag prinzipiell jedes Sturmgewehr der Schweizer Armee diese Vorgabe zu erfüllen.
