Chain Lightning Missile; Air College, Weather College

As Lightning, but when the missile hits the target, the caster may make a new attack roll against a second (or third, or fourth) target. Use the caster's Innate Attack skill for the new attack rolls, and use the distance between the targets (not the caster and the target) to determine the new speed/range penalty. Secondary targets may defend normally. Subtract two dice of damage each time the spell jumps to a new target. No target can be hit more than once by a single casting of Chain Lightning (any good meteotheurgist knows that lightning never strikes twice in the same place!)

Cost: Any amount up to 2x your Magery level per second, for three seconds. The bolt does 1d-1 burning damage per two energy points. Time to Cast: 1 to 3 seconds. The caster's fingers sparkle as the spell builds. Prerequisites: Magery 2 and Lightning.
